CHARLOTTE BYDWELL

Charlotte Bydwell is an artist who works primarily at the intersection between text and movement. She has a BFA in Dance from Juilliard and an MFA in Acting from The Old Globe/USD. She represented the USA and Canada as a DanceWebber at Vienna’s Impulstanz Festival. Favorite credits as a performer include: HELP (The Shed), A Month in the Country (Williamstown), Private Lives (Cape Playhouse), Much Ado About Nothing (Old Globe), and Lucy Michael in Tony Award–winning playwright Richard Nelson’s The Michaels (Public Theater), The Michaels Abroad, and Incidental Moments of the Day.

Bydwell has choreographed Off-Broadway, across NYC, for national tours, and at leading regional theaters. She was the season choreographer for Comedy Central’s Alternatino with Arturo Castro and has created multiple pieces with the global advocacy organization Mighty Earth, blending dance with climate activism. Her solo show, Woman of Leisure and Panic, was presented by the soloNOVA Festival, The New York International Fringe Festival (NY Innovative Theatre Award nominee), Exponential Festival, DanceNOW Raw at Gibney, and Chashama. Her solo film, The Nude Model, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe. Bydwell has taught her movement-based approach to acting at Juilliard, Limón Dance Company, Gibney, Stella Adler, Barnard, Peridance and HB Studio.

KAYLA FARRISH

Kayla Farrish is a Black American Director merging dance-theater, filmmaking, narrative, and sound score. She captures ranging identity, the mythical dualities of history and present survival, and powerful dreaming lending to liberation.

Her commissions include Limón Dance Company, Gibney, Louis Armstrong House Museum, Danspace, Little Island, Harlem Stage, and beyond. She creates live works, films, site-specific/immersive, and music collaborations like Martyr’s Fiction and The New Frontier. She shared Choir (Carrie Mae Weems Exhibition), To Dream A Lifetime (BlackLight), Roster with Melanie Charles, MIXTAPES with Alex MacKinnon and site-specific Broken Record (Little Island) with Brandon Coleman. Her presenting spaces include Lincoln Center, Park Avenue Armory, Works & Process/Guggenheim, Symphony Space, and National Sawdust, and has received support from the Watermill Center, Brooklyn Filmmakers Collective, Baryshnikov Arts, La Mama, and others.

She received the Sundance Uprise Grant, Bessie Awards for NYLA’s Motherboard Suite and December 8th—Gibney, New York Times Top 2021 Dance Performances—Roster and Breakout Star. She is a recipient of the Harkness Promise Award for 2022. She was a Rehearsal Director for Punchdrunk’s Sleep No More, and improviser with Trixie Whitley and Moor Mother. She’s the 2023 recipient of Watermill Center Nina Von Maltzahn Fellowship and the Ellis Beauregard Foundation Contemporary Dance Award. In 2024, she choreographed Limon Company’s The Quake that Held Them All and produced her company tour Put Away the Fire, dear, supported by NEFA NDP Grant.

KEERATI JINAKUNWIPHAT

Keerati Jinakunwiphat, originally from Chicago, IL., received her BFA from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase and was a recipient of the Adopt-A- Dancer Scholarship. She has additionally studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and Springboard Danse Montreal. She has worked with and performed works of artists such as Kyle Abraham, Nicole von Arx, Trisha Brown, Jasmine Ellis, Hannah Garner, Shannon Gillen, Paul Singh, Kevin Wynn, and Doug Varone. Keerati began working with A.I.M. by Kyle Abraham in 2016. As a freelance choreographer, Keerati has presented her own choreographic works at the American Dance Guild Festival, Battery Dance Festival, Dance Gallery Festival, the Joyce Theater, New Victory Theater, MASS MoCA, Lincoln Center, Works & Process at the Guggenheim, Chelsea Factory and more. She has been commissioned to set and create works on the Evanston Dance Ensemble, the Martha Graham School, SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Dance, A.I.M. by Kyle Abraham, Houston Contemporary Dance Company, New England Ballet Theatre, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, Bang On A Can, Princeton University, PARA.MAR Dance Theatre, Whim W’him Seattle Contemporary Dance,New York Choreographic Institute, Rutgers University, and the Juilliard School. Keerati has graced the cover as one of Dance Magazine’s ‘25 to Watch’ in 2021. In 2023, she had the honor

of becoming the first Asian American woman to be commissioned to choreograph for the New York City Ballet. Keerati was a 2024 Artist in Residence at the Baryshnikov Arts Center. Additionally, Keerati has been awarded with the Jadin Wong Fellowship Artist of Exceptional Merit by the Asian American Arts Alliance and is a 2023 Princess Grace Award winner in choreography.

OUR SESSIONS ALLOW DANCERS TO EXPERIENCE VARIOUS CHOREOGRAPHIC STYLES AND IDEAS, ENGAGE WITH A CREATIVE COMMUNITY, AND GATHER RESOURCEFUL INFORMATION AND INSPIRATION FROM THE ARRAY OF CHOREOGRAPHERS LEADING THESE SESSIONS.

2 HOUR SESSIONS : $5 - $10 CLASS FEE

3 HOUR SESSIONS : $10 - $15 CLASS FEE

4 HOUR SESSIONS : $15 - 20 CLASS FEE

AFTER DARK SESSIONS : $10 CLASS FEE
